Apples in Stereo's new album New Magnetic Wonder is very well recorded.
Parts of the album have so many layers and different instruments you almost wonder how they can fit that many little instruments into such a tiny CD, but they pulled it off quite well. All in all the album gets the thumbs up from me.

I wish i could say the same for Bloc Party's A Weekend In The City. I'm not too sure what exactly has happened since the release of Silent Alarm but what ever happened it wasn't good. Their new album is boring and dull. The instrumentation gets the silver medal if Silent Alarm got the gold. The lyrics aren't interesting. If you can get past that the album is heavily over produced, it sounds like M83 is playing behind all the songs. There is synthesizer and electronic harmonies all over the tracks. Unless they added a few members don't expect them to sound like the new album live. Uniform is the only song worth checking out. The interesting thing about this new album is it has a plethora of B-Sides, 90% of which are better than the songs on the album.

As some of you may have heard, Aqua Teen Hunger Force did a promotions campaign in major US cities by displaying Neon LED signs depicting the Mooninite characters. The signs were put in random places, buildings, streed signs, overpasses. Of all the cities that the promotions campaign took place, Boston was the only to freak out and think that terrorists had planted WMDs through out their cities. A bomb squad was sent in, arrests were made. They even used a robot to deactivate the sign.

according to Reuters the FOX subpoenaed Google for the identities of the individuals who uploaded episodes of the Simpsons and 24 to their website.

Sounds like napster allover again; everyone's doing it, but five or ten people are going to be in real deep shit.

Yellow Bird Project - Charity T-shirts
YBP is a new charity project designed to sell exclusive band shirts and filter the proceeds to a charity of the band's choice. Stars, Wolfmother, Rilo Kiley, and Devendra Banhart are just a few of the bands currently participating in the project. The Shirts are a little pricey, but it is for charity, and the designs are well done.
